It's great to be able to share this blog with you, so thank you for visiting our site, and thank you for reading this post. As well as keeping up to date with news of our virtual tours and 360° photography and video, we'll also be taking a regular look at some of the gear and technology that we use along the way. We were inspired to set up Peak 360 Photography when we experienced, first hand, the unprecedented effects that the Coronavirus situation and the subsequent lockdown restrictions had on the tourist economy. We're completely aware that life, health and safety come first. We are a family business with school age children and vulnerable older family members. However, many of the accommodation providers and experience providers around Derbyshire and the Peak District have wondered how they will be able to continue to operate.
Thankfully, there are signs that the restrictions are able to be safely relaxed in the near future, so this is now an opportunity for those businesses to take stock and make sure that, as soon as they are allowed to open, they are in a position to hit the ground running at full speed. Recent advances in 360° camera technology and software have meant that virtual tours, a chance for potential customers to experience a "walkthrough" of a property from their computer or smartphone, have become more popular. Now, the owner of holiday accommodation in the Peak District is able to have a virtual tour embedded on their website, providing an interactive experience for the customer like never before. Some travellers, for many different reasons, may be anxious about the interior of a property - will a room be suitable for a wheelchair user, for example. Now they can have that reassurance online. Of course, it's not just the Peak District. It's anywhere. And it's not just accommodation providers. Fitness centres, shops, commercial units, letting companies, estate agents, pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and any number of other types of business can provide an extra level of promotion to their website and boost their online presence by embedding a virtual tour. 360° photos can be added to Google maps and linked to business owner's profiles, so that on Google Street View, browsers can "step inside" the property and explore the interior. Our tours are custom made and designed to our customer's specification. We can add "regular" (non-360) photography, aerial shots, voice-overs and interactive hotspots to the tours, Branding can be removed so that the finished tour fits perfectly with the website. And there are no hosting fees or recurring charges, meaning that our prices are affordable - an important factor at this time in particular. If you would like a quote, please email us at [email protected], or call Mark on 07500 844744 and we would be delighted to help. In the meantime, we hope that you and your families are able to keep safe and well in these difficult times.
